Why Montessori?
I am drawn to Montessori education because it aligns with my sense of
respect for each individual child, recognizes the value of a calm and peaceful environment to foster space for each child to develop,
and imparts in children a respect for self, for others and for the environment.
Montessori is peace education.
Montessori materials are perfectly designed to allow each child to make their own discoveries.
Montessori is just who I am!
I was lucky enough to attend Montessori school through 6th grade.
After homeschooling my own children for 21 years, with a B.A. in Education, I trained as a Montessori 3-6 Guide and started Maple Moon on our mini-farm to share the Montessori experience with more children.
